During a romantic night walk in the ancient Church the couple was scared to death by the Ghost of the old man and his dog.
Stacy Bresnan and her boyfriend Lee Stammers by climbing the famous 199 steps to St Mary's Church in the town of Whitby, located in the English County of North Yorkshire, photographed a strange figure.
The pair was looking for the grave of two people who were born and died in one day when Stacy saw a few step from the old man seated himself, and to his right, near the entrance to the Church was a dog.
"We just had a pint, but was not so drunk that we could see such things,' said Stacy Bresnan. - I can always take pictures, they were nothing special, but once I turned to Lee and said, "Look at this person".
The pair often visited Whitby Abbey and adjacent to a large cemetery, but was never so scared as that night. Typically, the photos taken in this place you can see strange things, but to see something to shoot is a rarity, says Stacy.
Young people believe that they have seen the Ghost of an old man in a suit who used to walk with my dog around Whitby. Next time they're going to the sitting man at the same place.

Hypotheses
Pareidolic illusion
A variety of visual illusions (the so-called "sensory illusions additions"); is the formation of illusory images, as a basis which are the details of the real object. Thus, the vague and obscure the visual image is perceived as something distinct and defined — for example, figures of people and animals in the clouds, the image of a man on the moon, "a hidden message", audible when you reverse the audio recordings, the shadows formed by leaves or complexes of objects in certain lighting (sometimes at a certain angle).

Investigation
Based on the angle of incidence of the light (or Moon light), it's a game of light and shadow in which the human brain sees the image.
