One of those photos taken in September 1954 over the MD with a picture of a B-57B (in a web gallery, air force Wright-Patterson indicated S / N 52-1550), was a strange object.
Photographer NICAP Ralph Rankow, new York photographer, investigated the image in 1964 and wrote:
No one actually reported that they have seen in their own eyes saucer-like object in the upper right part of the figure. However, the object is excited such curiosity that, as reported, were made another flight in the same area to look for the reflection of the earth, which could cause it, although I understand that it is not.
A careful analysis of the photos shows the trees, bushes and houses, all leaving long shadows, but the object does not cast a shadow on the ground.
