Initial data
On March 8, 1994, hundreds of witnesses reported several UFOs in the southwest Michigan. The objects were white, blue, green and surrounded by red. Hundreds of citizens of the city were witnesses Holland, including police officers and even employees from the National Weather Service.
Around 9:30 p.m., operators in 911 began receiving calls about unidentified flying objects similar to "a string of Christmas lights in the sky." Due to the number of calls, 911 operators sent requests to the police and the National Weather Service to confirm the sightings.

Police officials confirmed the presence of unidentified objects in the sky. They also indicated that they had pursued them to the best of their ability. Radar operators from the National Weather Service also confirmed that the objects "cannot be known weather phenomena, especially at this altitude. One of the objects flew twenty miles in ten seconds."
One of the police officers, Jeff Wellhouse, who was present at the scene, spoke to the radar operator in Muskegon. He said that he had three objects on the radar, they formed a triangle. The objects were moving to the southwest. At the same time, one of them made movements because of which he then fell out of the triangular pattern, then returned to his place again.
The radar operator further reported that:
There were three and sometimes four flashes, and they weren't planes. The planes on the radar are dots, and the objects were much larger. They changed their position from 5 to 12,000 feet, moving towards Chicago. I've never seen anything like it, even in the harshest weather.
After the incident, the National Weather Service denied the fact that it was actually a UFO, but never gave a clear explanation as to what they could be.
"There is no connection between UFOs and radar tracks," said Dian Gulesian, manager of the Michigan State Weather Service.

About 300 people in Michigan reported the appearance of supernatural lights in the sky on the night of March 8, 1994. After almost 20 years, this event remains unexplained.
The remake of "Unsolved Mysteries", broadcast on Netflix, showed us one of the most important events in ufology. Massive UFO sighting over Michigan.
Residents near Lake Michigan witnessed one of the most massive UFO sightings in history. Multicolored lights appeared above the water, dancing chaotically in the night sky.
The local police were overwhelmed with calls from people from all over the world to report the sightings. In total, more than 300 calls were received.
Later, the National Weather Service confirmed the presence of large objects in the sky over the lake. The objects, they claimed, were not planes.
Jack Bushong, then one of the meteorologists of the National Weather Service, who ran the office of the Muskegon County Airport, tracked objects and noted their speed and movement on radar.
However, when communicating with the local police, who confirmed the "impossible" movements of objects, the meteorologist refused to discuss the incident for professional reasons. In addition to the fear of losing credibility and becoming the object of ridicule, the service itself ordered him not to mention this case.
But today, after retiring in 2016, Bushong acknowledged the fact of UFO sightings over Lake Michigan in 1994. He said this in an episode called "Something in the sky" of the program "Unsolved Mysteries", which aired on Tuesday, October 18.
He said that the objects looked like airplanes, but did not behave like airplanes. It was known that these are hard, smooth and reflective objects. This was deciphered by the echo they emitted in the signals.
UFOs merged and diverged several times at an altitude of about 2000 meters. They maintained a triangular formation, which was observed according to radar data.
"The northernmost light jumped 30 km above the waters of the lake and hovered over our heads. The others did the same, formed a triangle again and hung for a few seconds. I can't think of anything in nature that copies what the other one does. As if they wanted to be seen."
Once south of Lake Michigan, they stopped and stayed there for a while. Bushong said he watched them for two or three hours and encountered dozens and dozens of other objects. All of them performed impossible maneuvers, such as descending to 1,000 meters and climbing to 15,000 in seconds.
At some point, one of the objects moved 32 kilometers in less than a second. It reached 115,000 kilometers per hour. At this speed, you could get from New York to Los Angeles in two minutes. No technology on earth can work that fast, and Bushong also said any weather anomaly is out of the question.
Before giving evidence, the main reason for the meteorologist's silence was the desire to continue working. At the time of the incident, he had worked at the National Weather Service for only 3 years, and his scientific reputation was still developing.
Even after his promotion, the fear was present.
Since he started sharing this experience in small media since 2016, he found the courage to talk about what happened after the UAP report was published in the US Congress.
Bushong admitted that the revelation that the government and military are serious about the existence of UFOs made him reconsider his experience. Thus, in addition to participating in the show, he plans to publish his research on a professional level.
All the eyewitnesses agree with the radar images and recorded calls to the emergency service that night. Residents of Lake Michigan reported the same event, some were shocked.
What was flying over Lake Michigan that night, what was controlling it and what was it looking for? Although there is no definite answer, this event has been repeated in other cases. This is not the first time UFOs have flown over lakes.
Original news
On March, 8th 1994 hundreds of witnesses reported seeing multiple UFOs at various instances, distances and colors such as white, blue, green and red around southwest Michigan. The witnesses included hundreds civilians around the town of Holland, police officers and even radar operators from the National Weather Service.
At around 9:30 pm operators at 911 began receiving calls about the unidentified flying objects by the several hundreds reporting what looked like "a string of Christmas lights way up in the sky." Because of the amount of calls, the 911 operators dispatched police and called the National Weather Service in order to confirm the sightings.

The police confirmed and pursued the objects at the best of their abilities and the radar operators also confirmed the objects "could not be precipitation, especially at that height. One object was tracked moving twenty miles in ten seconds." One of the police officers that was on the scene Jeff Vellhouse, talked to the radar operator at the Muskegon radar said that the operator stated, "he had three things on his radar, and they were in a triangular shape. They hovered over Holland and moved southwest. He said that one would move out of the triangular pattern, then move back in."
The radar operator further reported that:
"There were three and sometimes four blips, and they weren't planes. Planes show as pinpoints on the scope, these were the size of half a thumbnail. They were from 5 to 12,000 feet at times, moving all over the place. Three were moving toward Chicago. I never saw anything like it before, not even when I'm doing severe weather."
After the incident the National Weather Service denied the fact that these were in fact UFOs but never gave a clear explanation as to what they could have been. Even thought there were hundreds of witnesses.
"There is no relation between the UFOs and the radar tracks," said Dean Gulezian, the weather service's area manager for Michigan.
