The captain of the "Chicago & Southern Airlines" Jack Adams and first officer G. W. Anderson, Jr., flying a DC-3 with the rate of 2000 feet in the direction W from Memphis to little Rock, saw a round disc-shaped object with a diameter of 100 feet.
At the top in the center of the object was a very bright flashing light at about 3 flashes per second.
The object passed directly in front of the airliner at a distance of not more than 1/2 mile and approximately 1000 feet higher than the airliner. The object was under observation not long (25 to 35 seconds).
