Initial data
Surprised, the pair claims that photographed what they believe is the Ghost of a monk who lives in the castle.
43-year-old Helen Wakeman and her partner, 33-year-old John Dargan, went on a paranormal tour of the Dudley castle in the County of West Midlands, England, earlier this month (January 2019).
The couple, originally from Birmingham, was speechless when later saw his pictures taken during this trip. Indeed, one of them, they found it frightening ghostly vision.
Ellen took the picture, when John was standing on the steps leading to the castle, but said he did not notice the silhouette standing on the right of the arch.
Later, the guide told them that the monks often crossed this arch, to perform the prayers in the castle.
Helen said:
"My parents bought the tickets for this trip as a Christmas gift. We became passionate spirit walkers, but we've never been able to photograph anything so far. We had a good night, very dark, and we went in groups to explore the land around. When we finally looked at the photos we did, I noticed a figure near the arch. It reminded us of a monk with a cloak and a hood. We were so happy that we finally managed to photograph something our camera."

"We have become avid ghost hunters and get a real thrill out of it but have never managed to capture anything on camera until now.
"We had just started the tour, on a car park close to the steps, and only took it as a quick photo, we never even looked at it till a few days later.
"We had a great night, it was very spooky and we went off in groups for vigils and to explore the grounds.
"When we finally looked through the pictures we had taken we spotted the figure next to the archway, which eerily looks like a monk with a hooded cloak.
"We were so excited that we had finally managed to capture something on camera."
Hypotheses
Pareidolic illusion
A variety of visual illusions (the so-called "sensory illusions additions"); is the formation of illusory images, as a basis which are the details of the real object. Thus, the vague and obscure the visual image is perceived as something distinct and defined — for example, figures of people and animals in the clouds, the image of a man on the moon, "a hidden message", audible when you reverse the audio recordings, the shadows formed by leaves or complexes of objects in certain lighting (sometimes at a certain angle).
