Initial data
On the evening of 8 Aug 2007 resident of the city of Wakefield (County West Yorkshire) noticed his own garden "shiny and grey" flying machine in the shape of an equilateral triangle. By its own estimates, the object was about 20 feet in size.
Here is what he says:
"The object was an elongated triangular shape with rounded corners and a sort of satin finish anthracite grey color. According to my estimates, the object was about 15 feet in diameter and about 20 feet in length. He was completely silent, flying very low in the sky and was moving very fast."
The Ministry of defense said that on that day, there was no violation of airspace.

Original news
A UFO was spotted darting across the night sky above a garden in Wakefield. The mysterious triangular 20ft long object was described as “shiny and grey” by a resident who reported it to the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The close encounter was one of a string of freshly declassified UFO sightings and MoD files released by the National Archives Service yesterday. A city resident, whose name and address has been omitted, sent a letter to the MoD on August 8, 2007. They said: “The object was an elongated, triangular shape with rounded corners and a sort of satin finish, charcoal grey colour. “I would estimate the object to be around 15ft across and 20ft long. It was absolutely silent, very low in the sky and moving quite fast.” A response from the MoD, sent less than a week later, said it had no reports of any breach of airspace that night.
