The family of John Hoffman (4) who was traveling in the car, as seen from the North-Eastern side descends brilliant white round-flat object with two tiers of Windows. He swung at a height of about 15°, stopped and started the movement with a speed of 100 miles per hour, drifting to the Northwest.
Witnesses chased him in the car. His light suddenly quenched, 4 times changed color to white-orange.
It was observed by 4 witnesses, who called police, Detroit Times newspaper and Selfridge AFB.
The object disappeared over the treetops on the North-West.

Family of 4 of Mr. [John ?] Hoffman in a car saw a brilliant white round-flat object with 2 tiers of windows descend from the NE, hover with rocking motion at about 15° elevation, stop and start at 100 mph drifting to NW. Witnesses pursued in car, lights went off and on 4 times changed color to white orange, got 4 other witnesses, called police, Detroit Times newspaper and Selfridge AFB.
