Captain Eugene P. Daspit and Sergeant James E. Hansen noticed an unusual object in the field of AN/CPS-5 radar installed at the keesler air force base.
The radar target was in the form of drops and was first detected with an azimuth of 335 degrees for a distance of approximately 43 miles.
The target was moving very slowly South for two minutes, then it stopped for four minutes. Then the object began to move slowly to the North for three minutes, then stopped for two minutes and disappeared.
After three minutes the target reappeared and began to move North more rapidly and completely disappeared at a distance of 50 miles from the radar.
