FranceMany witnesses reported seeing over 30 red, spherical UFOs flying overhead.
The local school superintendent Jean-Yves Prigen described his observation as "a narrow cylinder, apparently inclined at a 45 degree angle ... slowly moving in a straight line to the South-West. From its top burst a stream of white smoke".
At some point, according to witnesses from this ship there was a white, hair-like substance that covered the telephone wires, tree branches and roof. When people twisted the hair into a ball, they turned into a gelatinous substance and vanished.
