Un objeto desplazándose en el cielo de la noche de Año Nuevo 2014 fue filmado en la localidad de Yauco, en el suroeste de Puesto Rico desde una vivienda, por el ufólogo Reinaldo Ríos, tras ser avisado por su pequeño nieto.
El hecho fue presenciado por los vecinos de una comunidad rural en Yauco.
En el video suministrado se oye la voz del menor, el cual inocentemente llama a su abuelo para que observara lo que para todos los que lo avistaron era un ovni, desde su lento desplazamiento hacia arriba luego gira en forma recta hasta desaparecerse ante todos.
Como se aprecia en el video, se sienten los efectos de la pirotecnia pero el objeto se ve claramente de color entre anaranjado, rojo y amarillo, que va ascendiendo en forma lenta con diferentes tonalidades en la intensidad de luz. No se aprecian los fuegos artificiales; sí, varios sonidos de pirotecnia.
Reinaldo Rios hizo un sondeo por el vecindario y algunas personas indican haberlo visto, otras no. Habria que esperar si hay otras tomas de videos desde otros angulos.
Dentro de la investigación se corroborará con la policia de Yuaco y Guanica, pueblos limitrofes a ver si hay algun otro reporte de este incidente. Reinaldo Rios se comprometió con el vecindario a darle seguimiento con la Policia.
