Initial data
The witness observed three red ball.
They were slightly to the left from the South (we have a compass) from Houten about 00:50 in the night from Friday to Saturday 9 April 2011. By the way, it seemed that they were (much) further than Houten (in South direction ) because they were not large and with binoculars they could not be much more.
Flash in the shape of the letter L:
- 1 scope at the top of the long side of the L,
- 1 in the corner
- 1 at the end of the short side of the L.
The formation flew from left to right with the South. The form in which they flew, changed from L shape to a V shape (sphere on the short side went up).
We watched for about 30 seconds. Then the objects disappeared one by one.
Also observed through binoculars. No additional lights, in order to compare with the aircraft. When the sphere disappeared, they seemed to fly over the cloud (slowly of ischezajut).
Have no idea what it could be. I believe that the aircraft is unlikely due to the amount of colored lights and missing lights on the wings.
Perhaps this is flying Chinese lanterns or UFOs.

Original news
HOUTEN, UT — Drie rode bollen.
