28-year-old Cayetano Sergio DOS Santos, returning home after a night of work, found a metal cylinder lying on the right side near the back door of his house. It was approximately 17 cm long and 15 cm wide.
He tried to lift it, but found that it was so heavy that it required both hands. No one had heard the object fall there, and there was only a tiny depression about 1/2 cm in the ground where it lay.
As a result, the family concluded that it may have been some stolen item that was deliberately placed there to arouse suspicion about them, or, even worse, a terrorist bomb (Sao Paulo Newspapers were full of reports of such cases during that period).
Cayetano carefully examined the mysterious object for 1-1. 5 hours. Its surface was smooth, a dull grayish color (but it glowed brightly at night under electric light, as he found out later).
The two flat ends of the cylinder were covered with some transparent material, which was so closely connected to the metal that the point of connection was not visible, and he could not find where he could insert the tip of the screwdriver.
The surface of the cylinder was so hard that he could not scratch it. Under the transparent cover at each end was a dial and a pointer for what appeared to be five digits from 1 to 5. But on a slightly larger circle, corresponding to the usual five "Arabic" digits, there were five other symbols, but Cayetano found it quite impossible to reproduce them.
The five Arabic numbers and five cryptic symbols were not cut deep, and there was an engraved groove between the numbers and symbols. The pointers on each of the two dials seemed to be of the same material as the cylinder itself, but were of different colors, one black and the other red.
The pointers stood respectively on one side of the "O" sign and a symbol that apparently did not correspond to the "O" on the other side of the dial, each pointer having a small ball at the end.
Later Cayetano went outside to sit in the sun and eat an orange. At that moment, the plane flew overhead, and he was watching his mysterious object to see if any pointer was moving. There was no reaction. So he decided to forcibly smash it on the ground, using all his strength, but the signs didn't budge.
He and his family were a little shy about showing their strange finds to all the neighbors, but he showed it to a few people in the neighborhood. He forbade his two children to touch the object and placed it on the wall of the shower compartment in his bathroom between a small oil lamp and two bars of soap.
His wife was expecting a baby very soon, and so he used to come back several times every night to find out how she was.
The first night after he found the cylinder, he returned to see his wife half an hour after midnight, and as he passed by, he noticed a strange glow of the object under the electric light.
When he returned to his comrades at work in the factory, he told them about the strange object in his house.
Returning again to see his wife at 01: 07, he learned from some neighbors on the way that he heard his wife calling for help, so he ran and found the house very noisy.
His wife and two children were in the backyard crying, wearing only light nightclothes.
It appears that Mrs DOS Santos woke up shortly before 01: 00 due to a loud humming noise coming from where the object was lying. A strange blue light also came from the same place, and the terrible heat quickly penetrated the entire house all the way to her bedroom. So she decided to turn off the electricity, but this did not affect the light, acoustic and thermal phenomena, the intensity of which continued to grow.
Finding it impossible to stay in the house, she woke the two children and ran out into the street. A few moments later, there was a noise like thunder from the roof of her house, and a shower of tiles rained down around them. Then there was silence, and her husband appeared a few minutes later.
When they entered the house, everything was back to normal, but the mysterious cylinder was gone, and above where it stood was a gaping hole in the tiled roof.
It was reported that the investigation team collected pieces of broken tiles and found a high dose of radiation in them.

So therefore she decided to turn off the electricity but that had no effect on the luminous, acoustic, and thermogenic phenomena, which continued to grow in intensity. Finding it impossible to remain in the house she roused her two children and ran outside. A few moments later there came a noise like a clap of thunder from the roof of her house and a rain of pieces of tile fell around them. Then there was silence and her husband appeared a few minutes later. When they entered the house everything had returned to normal but the mystery cylinder had vanished, and above where it had stood was a gaping hole in the tiled roof.
