E. Bennett and his 15-year-old daughter were returning to their home when, at the foot of Bison Hill, a mass of conical shapes slowly rose from under the hill on a field about twenty-five yards (22.5 m) in front of them.
They said she was six feet (1.8m) tall, surrounded by a glowing aura, and she appeared to dissolve into a solid impenetrable hedge.
