An eyewitness from the city of Ede (Gelderland region) writes:
I thought I saw a large bird of prey flying overhead because it looked so close. But it was a dark v, flying fast, quiet, and in a straight line to the North.
On each leg of the V-shaped object (which flew tip-first) were two muted blue or grayish lamps or circles, about the width of the V-leg.
It seemed to be flying much lower than the plane, but I didn't hear a sound.

EDE, GD — Ik dacht een grote roofvogel te zien die boven mijn hoofd vloog, omdat het zo dichtbij leek, maar het bleek een donkere v te zijn die snel, stil en in een kaarsrechte lijn in noordelijke richting vloog. Op ieder been van het v-vorming object (die met de punt naar voren vloog) zaten twee gedempte blauwe of grijzige lampen of cirkels, ongeveer zo breed als het been van de v. Het leek veel lager dan een vliegtuig te vliegen, maar ik hoorde geen geluid.
