Initial data
On the slopes of the bare Puy de Chanturgue hill, about 50 feet from where she had previously seen the three "dwarfs," the witness saw an almost black silhouette, like a six-and-a-half-foot (190 cm) tall man wrapped in a cloak. She called this form the "shepherd." He remained in the same position until the witness stopped watching. She had seen the uniform more than once, and another man, a friend of theirs, had also seen it from a different vantage point.
