A cigar-shaped metal ship with rotating reddish and blue-green lights was spotted in the early morning while observing the stars with a new telescope that we received on Christmas day in 1972. I've never reported this before.
I was 15 years old at the time. My two younger brothers and I were looking at the stars with a new telescope that we had received as a Christmas present a month ago. My mother worked late because she was divorced and would be home soon.
We were on the roof and decided to return to the house so as not to be caught so late at night. We Packed up our equipment and started to descend when we were struck by a very large metal ship in the shape of a "cigar" hovering about 100 yards away (90 m).
The ship was cigar-shaped, but could also be a disk visible from the side. The ship looked as if it was made of unpainted metal without any markings. In fact, it looked like a medium-sized submarine floating in the sky without wings, fins, or propellers.
It had reddish and blue-green lights that turned on and off in a rotating motion. What struck us most was that it was completely silent , making no noise other than a faint metallic clang.
My little brother started crying.
The object moved slowly at a speed of about 3-5 mph for a few minutes, and then rapidly flew straight into space and disappeared in a split second (the speed was definitely more than 100 mph!).
I remembered looking at my watch and it was 2: 30 a.m. when we first saw the object.
The event seemed to only last 3-5 minutes, but when it ended, I looked at my watch again and it was 4: 00 am.
To this day, I'm not sure if we experienced lost time or if the object caused my watch to move forward. Every evening after that, we went up to the roof of our house again to try to see the object again.
On the second night after that (which was supposed to be the 12th), as we were climbing up the house to the roof, we saw two V-shaped formations of about 6-7 objects in each formation that swept from horizon to horizon in what can only be described as “the blink of an eye”. They were moving at such great speed that we could not make out their shape or their exact number.
We all screamed: "Wow!! Did you see that??!!"These visions never happened! We didn't report it because we felt that no one would believe a bunch of kids.
I am now 41 years old, but I have never seen a UFO since.

They were traveling at such a tremendous speed we could not make out their shape or exact number. We alll cried out, “Woww!! Did you see that??!!” These sightings were never! reported because we felt no one would believe a bunch of kids. I am 41 years old now, but have never seen another UFO since that time.
