Thousands of people in this Northern industrial city reported seeing a mysterious flying object hovering over the city today.
The sighting, recorded on radar screens at Turin airport and confirmed by the local police Department, is the latest in a series of reports of unidentified flying objects in Northern Italy.
The object seen tonight, clearly visible to the naked eye, appeared to rest motionless in the air for several minutes and rotate around its axis, witnesses say.
Six police patrols were sent to investigate the phenomenon, but when they reached a place more or less under the object, it suddenly shot up at high speed and disappeared, police sources said.
