The Avianca crew noticed a light following their plane in a zigzag pattern and reacted to the flashing landing lights.

Bright white light moving erratically in a zigzag pattern at high speed, confirmed by ground and airborne radars. The pilot responded at 25,000 feet, flashing his landing lights. Five witnesses. The observation time is 3 minutes.
