Sitting in the backyard on Wednesday night, my mother and I saw a ball of light approaching from the northeast. It kept coming closer and closer, but only very slowly, until it passed very slowly over the house.

It was at this point that Dorr's next neighbor, who also saw the event, went and brought his binoculars, though too late, as the balloon curved and went south.

By the time we got back to the back of the house and chatted over the fence about what we'd seen, another one was visible far away in the distance coming from the same direction, so the neighbor next door went and grabbed his binoculars again, and we just waited for the object to appear. He did the same thing as the first one, following the same path, but this time we were able to get a really good look at him through the binoculars. And so it was! A fireball, but there were black spots on it - there was nothing there.
