Drivers passing through the valley outside the city of Haditha, northeast of Baghdad, report that " ghosts appeared near the bridge, naked and doing several acrobatic movements."
Motorist Shavki Sabar said:
"They were almost human, although I couldn't focus on their appearance because I was very scared and it was dark."
The ghost-like figures were so lifelike that one motorist thought he had hit a man and reported the accident to the police.
(Haditha is the legendary birthplace of Lilith, the Sumerian goddess of darkness)
