Late one night, my ex-husband and I were sitting in our hot tub. It was very clear. We lived in a rural area east of Port Angeles, Washington, just off Highway 101 on 3.4 acres of land. The surrounding area was also rural and belonged to my husband's family. At that time, there was no commercial real estate around our land.
There were countless stars, and we could even see the Milky Way. The night was very calm, with no wind and no moon. We had no jets or bubbles, and the only sound was the gentle hum of the hot tub heater.
We don't have any external lighting, as we enjoyed gazing at the stars from our Spa in the backyard. And you could barely hear the light traffic from the highway about a quarter of a mile away.
As we sat and looked at the stars, we saw what we first thought was an airplane. This was not uncommon, as Port Angeles has an international airport on the west side of the city. But soon we noticed that this plane was moving very, very slowly and did not make any sounds.
We both commented on it and waited for it to start making a normal airplane sound. It never happened.
As we sat and watched this ship, it flew across the sky from north to south. During all the time we were witnesses, it never made a sound! It took this craft at least twenty minutes to cross the entire sky, and then, as it approached the Olympic Mountain Range to the south of us, it took off at an unusually high speed.
As the craft slowly approached us, it had at least three white lights that seemed to be in the corners of its triangular shape.
We could see the shape of him, because it blocked out the stars there, where was its weight. Its lights seemed to change from one corner to another, which I can't explain.
Only one light could be lit at a time, but it seemed that the lights alternately lit up and went out... for lack of a better explanation... without detection. The ship was also stealthily moving back and forth, moving forward... again... without detection. Then, as it hovered above us, the light in the center of the ship seemed to slowly rotate around and then land on us.
We both just sat there and could not or did not want to move. It was pretty creepy! We both felt a strange sensation when the light was on us, that we were seen and even "scanned" or something like that while on board the ship. It's impossible to describe the feeling we both had.
I am much more open-minded and enlightened than my "ex", but even he somehow felt that there was something supersensible in our experience that night.
The light remained on us for about 10 seconds, and then the ship continued its slow, methodical survey. Neither of us spoke or moved for a while. We just watched this thing slowly hover in the south and then take off over the mountains.
We both immediately agreed that this was not a plane we had ever seen or even heard of before. We still swear that it was a UFO and most likely not of this world. We didn't use mind-altering drugs, and we didn't drink alcohol.
My ex - husband and I are respected members of our community. It was a horrific incident that changed both our understanding of extraterrestrial life and our understanding that we are definitely not alone in this vast universe!

My now ex-husband and I were sitting out in our hot tub late one evening. It was very clear. We lived in a rural location just east of Port Angeles, Washington, just off Highway 101 on 3.4 acres of land. The surrounding property was also rural and owned by my husbands family. At that time, there were no commercial properties around our land. The stars were countless and you could even see the Milky Way. The night was very calm with no wind and there was no moon. We had no jets or bubbles going and the only sound was a slight hum from the heater in the hot tub. We had no exterior lights on as we used to enjoy star gazing from our backyard spa. And you could barely hear the light traffic from the highway about 1/4 of a mile away. As we sat gazing up at the stars, we saw what we thought, at first, was an airplane. This was not uncommon as Port Angeles has an international airport on the west side of the city. But soon, we noticed that this airplane was moving very, very slowly and it made no sound. We both commented on this and we waited for it to start making a normal airplane sound. That never happened. As we sat watching this craft, it flew from north to south across the sky. It was quite eerie! We both felt a strange sensation while the light was on us that we were visible and even ‘scanned’ or something by the occupant(s) of the craft. It is impossible to describe the feeling we both had. I am much more open-minded and enlightened than my ‘ex’, but even he felt somehow as if there was something extra-sensory about our experience that night. The light stayed on us for about 10 seconds and then the craft continued on in its slow, methodical survey. Neither of us spoke or moved for quite some time. We just watched this thing hover slowly off to the south and then it shot off over the mountains.
We both agreed immediately that this was not any type of aircraft that we had ever seen or even heard about before. We still, to this day, swear that this was a UFO and most likely not of this world. We were not using any mind-altering drugs or drinking alcohol. My ex-husband and I are both respectable members of our community. It was an eerie incident and it changed both of our beliefs about extra-terrestrial life and the knowledge that we are definitely not alone in this huge universe!
