Venezuela: Cyclist registers UFO over La Culata desert in Merida
The object, which looks strange, was accidentally photographed in the vicinity of the La Culata wilderness in the city of Merida, which is part of the Venezuelan Andes at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. The perceiver was an amateur cyclist who pedaled around the area as part of his daily routine.
The event took place on February 28, 2021, after 10 a.m., according to Pascal Mullebroek, a Belgian citizen who has lived in Venezuela for 40 years, 22 of which are in Merida. Locals call it "Belgabike" because of its nationality and love of cycling.
"I was riding my bike about 7 km north of the summit of La Culata, right in front of the sector known as La Caña, which ends in Alto Viento. I stopped because I felt tired and wanted to take a picture of a group of more than 40 people. cyclists rode with me. I continued on my way, but I never noticed anything unusual, " he says.
However, while viewing and deleting certain images from his mobile phone, he noticed something strange in the sky.
"It came as a surprise to me, and even worse, I almost deleted this photo," explained the 59-year-old cyclist, who further adds that although he saw "things" on this mountain that defy explanation, this is the very first thing he managed to photograph of these oddities.
