Initial data
During a series of bizarre animal mutilations in the area, Rafael Moreno was searching for his missing goats and infiltrated the Everglades.
He saw that on top of the tree rested a black bird, larger than an eagle, with seven-foot (2.1 m) wings. The bird flew over and landed on the ground behind him with unknown intentions.
Turning to shoot, Moreno, armed, saw the animal fold its wings in a second, and quickly left, disappearing from sight.
Despite the aggressive behavior of this bizarre bird, Moreno believes that it is not a predator.
