Guy Routh, an anaesthetist at the hospital, was driving down the road when his headlights illuminated a woman in a cream dress standing on the side of the road.
He slowed his pace in case she was in trouble, and she smiled at him and gave him a little wave. He stopped to make sure she was all right, but she was gone when he looked back.
Suddenly, the smell of wood smoke filled his car, and he got out of the car and found that there was no smell outside. He looked around for the woman in the pale dress, but there was no sign of her.
