Initial data
During a detour on Goat Trail Road due to paving work on U.S. Highway 2. I noticed a very large bright green circular object in the sky, which caused me to slow the van to a stop. I watched as this object hovered in the air, it rose and fell, and then slowly moved from its place and stopped again. Then it took off at such a speed that I just couldn't believe what I saw and several passengers in my van at the time, and for some reason none of the others saw what I had, and they were sitting in the back seat of the van, and it seemed like the whole event happened in 10 minutes.
I told my close friends and family, and a few guys I worked with, and they all thought I was crazy, until about a week later, at noon, the news came on the radio. They mentioned that this sighting was detected by public and private radars, and that many people reported seeing the object.
I can't remember the exact date, but in the summer it was around 2000. I've never heard a word about this observation. But I know that I was a witness, and it must have been a very real UFO sighting.
Since then, it has changed my outlook on life.

Then it took off with such speed I just couldn’t believe what I had witnessed and several passengers in my van at the time and somehow none of the others saw what I had.
