An eyewitness from the city of Rekken writes:
A bright white light in the form of a large star that flew in a straight line across the sky at the speed of an airplane at high altitude and each time became invisible for 5 seconds, as if it were an airplane flying through the clouds and, therefore, always hidden from view for a short time. Only there were no clouds and this light was constantly visible in the same place.
The phenomenon was repeated ten times, always in the same place. It was as if he had invisibly flown back, and then again visibly flown from Southeast to East again in the same place. It couldn't have been a plane.
The light also did not match the description of signal lights used in aviation. I've never seen it before. There are no other witnesses.

REKKEN, GD — Een helder wit licht met de intentie van een grote ster dat met de snelheid van een vliegtuig op grote hoogte in een rechte lijn langs de hemel vloog en telkens 5 seconden onzichtbaar werd, alsof het een vliegtuig was dat door wolken vloog en daardoor steeds even aan het zicht onttrokken was. Alleen waren er geen wolken en werd dat licht op precies dezelfde plaats steeds weer zichtbaar. Het fenomeen herhaalde zich wel tien keer, steeds op dezelfde plaats. Alsof het onzichtbaar teruggevlogen was en dan weer zichtbaar op precies dezelfde plaats wederom van Zuid-oost naar oost vloog. Dit kon onmogelijk een vliegtuig zijn. Het licht voldeed ook niet aan de omschrijving van waarschuwingslichten die in de luchtvaart gebruikt worden. Nooit eerder gezien. Geen andere getuigen.
