The 35-year-old man and his girlfriend were unhooking the trailer in the backyard and, after removing the trailer from the hitch, leaned back on the back of the Durango to stretch their backs.

As he looked up at the northern sky, he began to focus on a flying object moving south directly in their direction, right above their location. It was about 30 feet (9 m) above the treetops.

When the witness tried to classify the object, he immediately realized what it could not be.

After focusing on the object for a longer time, he realized that it was a living being. It was a solid object, gliding, hovering over the witnesses. At the same time, he started shouting to his girlfriend, who was standing in front of him.

She looked up and saw that he was flying directly above them, toward the nearest streetlight. Then they couldn't see it anymore.

As he looked up towards the north sky he began to focus on a flying object moving south directly towards their direction right above their location. It was about 30 ft above the tree tops. As the witness attempted to categorize the object, he immediately realized what it could not be. After focusing on the object longer he realized that it seemed to be a living thing. It appeared to be a solid object, gliding, soaring above the witnesses. At this he began to scream at his girlfriend who was in front of him. She looked up and saw it was passing directly over them and towards a nearby streetlight. Then they could not see it anymore. They described the creature as having a wingspan of about 20ft wide and resembling a flying reptile.
