Initial data
At 14: 41, Lee threw a ball to his dog and was looking north-northeast when he noticed a strange object in the sky. He estimated that it was about 2,000 yards (1,800 m) from its location and at an altitude of about 2,000 feet (600 m).
The object was a dark gray metal disk. It floated perfectly still and seemed to be silent. Lee estimated its diameter to be about 50-75 feet (15-22.5 m). There were no footprints on the object.
Intrigued, Lee stared at the object, trying to figure out what it might be. A minute later, his wife, Alicia, returned from work.
When she went out into the garden, Lee pointed out the object to her, but she didn't have her glasses with her, so she couldn't see it. At this point, Lee decided to go inside for a moment to get his compact camera. When he returned 30 seconds later, the object was still present. He tried to take a larger picture, but the camera didn't focus on him, so he took a larger picture instead. He then took his eyes off the UFO for a moment to manually zoom in on the camera screen and show Alicia. When he looked up at the sky again, the object had disappeared.
It was a clear day, so there were no clouds or other objects for them to follow, they just weren't there. He and his wife continued to watch him, but the object did not appear again. Shortly afterwards, Lee contacted BBC Wales and sent them a picture, but received no response from them.
He told several people what had happened. They either didn't believe it, or they thought it was probably something ordinary, but they hadn't seen the photo, so they based their theories only on the description.
The photo is an original photo that Lee took of his garden. A UFO can be seen over the right edge of the building.
