5 or more fireballs moving at high speed with a change of direction.
Tonight in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England (at about 22: 28), we observed what started with two fireballs in the sky moving up from behind the house behind my sisters, then changed to 3, and then to 5 different fireballs of light.
They seemed to be moving independently, moving in different directions and at different speeds. They were also of different sizes, which I think was due to the distance: some must have started to get closer as they got bigger, some got smaller and dimmer.
Over time, they seemed to go beyond the visible range, becoming smaller / dimmer before disappearing over the horizon or soaring into the sky. After a few minutes, it seemed that there were 3 more launches from the ground to the sky, they were in formation.
Eventually they all disappeared, but over the next 20 minutes more were seen moving across the sky. I assume they will be over the Clipston or Ollerton area in Nottinghamshire, England. I have some blurry photos and a movie, but since there is nothing good there from my mobile phone.... but they do show 2/3 orange fireballs being launched into the sky ...
We went home about 20 minutes later, and there seemed to be 3 or 4 low-flying jet-type aircraft in the sky, possibly of a military nature. This is unusual, since we are not on the normal flight path of the aircraft. Also, when we were walking home, my sister called me and said that she saw another one crossing the horizon.
This is not the first time I have seen strange fiery orange lights in the sky moving at high speed with a sudden change of direction… I saw one quite close back in November 2007... but this time 5 different people, including adults and a child, witnessed the fireballs. 10 more observations of the same objects were witnessed throughout England, reports of this are on uk-ufo.co.uk

Tonight in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England (at approx 22:28) we observed what started of as 2 fiery balls in the sky moving up from behind the house behind my sisters this then changed to 3, and eventually 5 different fiery balls of light. They seemed to move independently, and moved in different directions and different speeds. They were also different sizes which I guess was to do with distance, some must have started to come closer as they were getting bigger, some getting smaller and dimmer. Over time they seemed to go out of visable range, getting smaller/dimmer before disappearing into the horizon, or shooting up into the sky. A few minutes later there seemed to be 3 more launch off from the ground into the sky, these were in formation. Eventually they all disappeared, but over the course of the next 20mins, more were seen, to be moving around the sky. My guess is they would be over the Clipstone or Ollerton region of Nottinghamshire, England.
