Initial data
I was returning to my house in Randwick early on New Year's Day. I was just crossing a railway bridge in an area called Cashes Green when I saw what I thought was a meteor.
It was a fireball that I thought would hit the top of Randwick Hill. He was flying fast. Instead of falling to the ground, the ball straightened up and headed for the River Seven River.
Moving very quickly, he soared into the sky and disappeared from sight after 1 minute. He didn't make a sound. There were no other people around, and everyone I told this story to agreed and rolled their eyes, as if I had made it up.
