JM informed the author of the original article that on Friday evening or early Saturday morning, at about 12:00, she and her daughter saw a pulsating red light at some distance. She was driving back to her house in Blind River, and their neighbor, a carpenter, was driving in front of them in another car. He obviously saw the whole incident better, and later he told her about what he saw.
He was also driving home and, coming closer to Blind River, noticed a red light. He thought maybe it was a warning light or something. But when he got 30 to 40 feet away from the train tracks, he hit the brakes. He watched as the red pulsing light hovered over the tracks at a height of about five or six feet. Then the light suddenly moved towards the forest. The man stepped on the gas and drove away.
When he later told JM about what he saw, he said he wasn't going to say anything about it. He estimated that the red light had a diameter of about 30 inches at a distance of about 30 feet. One interesting piece of information should be mentioned: The El Dorado nuclear power plant is located a few miles to the south. It is well known that UFOs can often be seen in the immediate vicinity of nuclear power plants. Now we have a possible explanation for why there were so many sightings in the Blind River area.

He apparently had a better view of the whole incident, and he later told her what he saw. He was also driving home, and as he got closer to Blind River, he noticed a red light. He thought maybe that it was a signal light or something. But when he got about 30 or 40 feet from some railroad tracks, he slammed the brakes. He watched as a red pulsating light hovered above the tracks, at an approximated height of five or six feet. The light then suddenly moved, heading into the woods. The man stepped on the gas and took off. When he later told JM what he had seen, he said he wasn't going to say anything about it. He estimated that the red light was about 30 inches in diameter, at a distance of 30 feet or so. That's how close he was to it.
One interesting bit of information that should be mentioned is the fact that the Eldorado Nuclear Plant is located a few miles away, to the south. It is a well-known fact that UFOs are often seen in close proximity to Nuclear Plants. We now have a possible explanation why there would be so many sightings in the Blind River area.
