Initial data
On June 19, at the end of the next episode of the television feature film "War", I went outside. Sitting on the bench were my housemates Alexander Batuev, the driver of the Kishertsky state farm, Leonid Myakshiy, an electrician at the MSO, and a student Vladimir Pervushin.
Leonid, Alexander and I lit a cigarette, and then I noticed an unusual expression on Volodya's face. He was looking at the sky, in the north-western part of which, in the area of the Aeroflot airway, there was some unusual bright object hanging.
I know very well that in the seventies, IL-18 planes flying from Perm to Sverdlovsk passed this section of the route at an altitude of four and a half thousand meters above the ground. The object we were observing (Leonid and Alexander paid attention to the sky at the same time with me), as it seemed to me, hung at the same height. It was about twenty-five centimeters long, resembling the simplest image of a bird (remember - in children's drawings: two arches connected by a short straight dash?) and it was located to the horizon at an angle of thirty degrees.
A bird is a bird, but I still can't get rid of the feeling that there was a second, lower, dimmer part of the observed object than the upper one. She copied a vividly outlined bird-like outline, like a reflection in water. If indeed this lower part existed not only in my imagination, then in general the object was dumbbell-shaped.
Later I asked L. Myakshin:
"What did you see?"
He replied:
"Two balls connected by a short straight line...".
The color of the object was unusual — very white and therefore very bright and at the same time soft. It didn't hurt to look at him, as it happens, for example, with flashes of electric welding. There was clearly a noble matte silver in it.
In this form, the object was observed for about fifteen seconds (I managed to go up to my apartment on the second floor, draw the attention of my wife and son to it and return back to the courtyard).
The disappearance of the object was impressive. It turned into a large "white" star, which began to decrease very quickly, changing color: first pink, and just before disappearing, thickly crimson. He, leaving us, did not descend above the horizon, as it happens, for example, when observing a flying plane, but, on the contrary, rose above it. I had the impression that the object silently "shot" away from us. swiftly piercing the sky. Then my wife confirmed my impression. She said: "I flew away very quickly, gaining altitude."
As soon as the object turned into a star and disappeared, I asked:
"Where did he come from?"
Volodya Pervushin answered:
"I don't know. I kept looking there— there was nothing, and suddenly he..."
"As if he had descended unnoticed. Alexander Batuev now adds— "and then he showed up."
What was that? It's an impressive mystery to me. However, as for everyone who watched this fascinating phenomenon with me.
