Witchcraft. Russia

In the village . In 1980, a local resident Dmitry Brykin had to observe some magical actions, about which he came to the editorial office of the district Michurinsky newspaper. Here is his recorded, but for obvious reasons unpublished story:

"I peeked almost every evening through the window of her (local witch) house and observed strange things. She regularly turned the icon and the cross upside down at night, put something on the stove, whispered spells. Every five minutes she spat on the icon and the cross. I once witnessed a witch slaughtering a cat. Dismembering the body, she put the paws, head, torso of the cat in a bag, sewed it up and poured some liquid from a saucepan. After about five minutes, I opened the bag, and a completely intact cat ran out of there."
