Initial data
On August 11-12, 1979 at 14-15 o'clock in the afternoon near Soksor on the Ustyurt plateau (Mangyshlak region), an observer, Satikov Galdynbeg Uralbekovich, saw a crescent-shaped cloud of smoky color slightly smaller than the Moon strictly in the western direction from the party camp N 2, that is, over the center of Soksor.
The cloud was located at an altitude of 15 degrees above the horizon with a bulge down. Above the center of the cloud was an unrelated dark spot. The edges of the cloud were blurry.
The sky is absolutely cloudless, a strong wind was blowing. However, during the observation period of about 30 minutes, the cloud remained in one place. The observer left, then looked again, but the object was no longer there.
