Initial data
In August 1945, Voronezh fighter pilot Vasily Egorov was shot down over the territory of Inner Mongolia two hundred kilometers from the front line.
Vasily managed to leave the burning fighter and parachute down in a small grove, which in itself was a stroke of luck: a significant part of Inner Mongolia consists of deserts, where there is no water to be found. In the grove he found a streamlet running out from under a small hillock, which promised at least relief from thirst.
Apparently, the pilot received a slight concussion, he was dizzy, nauseous. Vasily lay down in a thicket of bushes to rest and fell asleep. Egorov woke up with a strange feeling – his arms and legs did not obey. Lifting his head, he saw that his torso was wrapped in a translucent ribbon the width of a finger, as if a huge spider had swaddled an unwary fly. The sounds he heard at the same time resembled the chirping of birds. But they were made by creatures that could have been mistaken for small monkeys, if not for the clothes and knives in their hands.
They were people, but very small. Later, after getting acquainted with hundreds of little men of the Hanyangi tribe – that's what they called themselves – Vasily was convinced that their height did not exceed 45 centimeters.
The pilot did not remember how many years he spent in the underground labyrinth of the dwarf people... One day, after a thunderstorm, he found himself outside, and the Arats, Mongol herders, bumped into him. Recognizing Egorov as a Russian, they took him to geologists who were conducting research in fraternal China at that time. Geologists transported Egorov to the Soviet Union, where his identity was established.
It turned out that the pilot was considered dead. And only after conducting a number of examinations did they make sure that before them was indeed Vasily Egorov, a knight of the Order of the Red Banner of Battle, a fighter pilot who had six downed enemy aircraft. They could not immediately identify Vasily because 14 years have passed since the Soviet-Japanese war! Egorov turned out to be with people in the spring of 1959!
The investigation did not yield results – no one wanted to take Egorov's stories about dwarfs seriously. But during the X-ray of the skull, a dense formation was found in the occipital part of the pilot who suffered from paroxysmal headaches. It became clear that Egorov had undergone a skull trepanation about 15 years ago. But the main thing: the triangular hole was the same shape as on the skull found in the Vlasov labyrinth!
