In 1902, a message was received from Scotland from a teacher William Moreau, who claimed that he had met a creature strikingly similar to a siren on one of the beaches, who was sitting on a rock, but, noticing a person, immediately dived into the water.

After interviewing local residents, the teacher realized that he was not the only one who had seen such a creature.
