In the Ajarasikal gorge there are military bases of missile defense, border posts and so on. Round the clock, military patrols bypass the border, and special radars record all objects that are near the border. Thanks to the work of the military, the appearance of unidentified flying objects was recorded.

The first UFO encounter in the Ajarasikal Gorge took place in 1994. The radars of the missile defense forces recorded the presence of an aircraft that did not send any signals and did not respond to requests. It was not possible to see a UFO this time, because the object was too high above the gorge to be considered.

After a while, the soldiers of the border troops managed to see a UFO with their own eyes. Not far from the Georgian city of Batumi, border guards noticed a UFO in the shape of a cigar. Not very bright light came from the object. The UFO was in sight for several minutes, and then disappeared. Border guards claim to have observed UFOs every day.
