Initial data
It got into the archives of the "KGB", and such a message from one of the two hunters who observed UFOs in the evening sky, apparently, somewhere in Eastern Siberia:
"On the evening of November 3, 1985, the weather was clear, the starry sky was cloudless. At about 20.30 local time, we got into the boat, and I started the engine to warm it up. At that moment, a glowing object appeared in the sky, flying at high speed from north to south. He was flying very high, much higher than planes fly.
In size, the object was slightly larger than the stars, and differed from them, in addition to its size and rapid movement across the sky, also in that a ray of light was almost vertically descending from it. This bright beam, as from a powerful searchlight, penetrated down about a quarter of the distance to the ground, and then, as it were, sprayed and disappeared. When the UFO approached us, the engine stalled.
I checked the fuel level, the position of the carburetor flap and pulled the starter cord again. The engine immediately started, but the next moment a glowing halo appeared around the spark plug, which became brighter and brighter, and a few seconds later the engine stalled again, and suddenly, without slowing down or sneezing. At that moment, the UFO was right over our heads.
When the UFO began to move away in a southerly direction, towards Vladivostok, I saw a second object next to it, smaller and not so bright. Both of them were flying next to each other at the same altitude and at the same speed. Soon they got so far away from us that we lost sight of them."
