Initial data
On the night of October 9-10, 1988, a glowing silver ball the size of a lunar disk appeared over the territory of the missile base near the village of Kura five minutes before the planned training launch of the rocket.
Fighters of the units servicing the launch shafts have repeatedly reported to the command about "glowing unidentified spherical objects flying over the territory of the base." And Senior Lieutenant Vasilevsky and Private Kolosov from telemetry station No. 3 saw "a group of slowly flying lights changing color from red to white."
The same lights were also seen by officers from an observation post located on the top of Mount Lizyk. In the official report, Vasilevsky noted that "the appearance of UFOs often coincides in time with the moments of planned training launches of missiles, and if for some reason the launch is postponed or postponed, then UFOs do not appear by the time indicated in the plan."
