As you can read in the 20th volume of the "Journal of Kwanghegun", in the chapter "Annals of the Joseon Dynasty", in August 1609, an armada of UFOs appeared over Korea. The observation took place in Gangwon Province. According to eyewitnesses, unidentified flying objects looked like shells, and their appearance was accompanied by lightning, bright light and smoke.
All the objects moved in the Korean sky for several days and were described very similarly. Here is one of the first reports:
"In Gangneungbu, the sun was bright and clear at 4 a.m. on August 25, but suddenly an object appeared in the sky, making a quiet noise. Its shape was similar to a large pumpkin, it was pointed at the top and large at the bottom, and it seemed that it was falling to the ground from the center of the sky to the north. As it fell, the shape gradually increased and amounted to about three to four leaves (丈), its color was red. White energy appeared where it passed and disappeared after a while. When it disappeared, thunder rang out, shaking heaven and earth."
Similar objects were observed in other regions of the country. They all mentioned an object in the shape of a large bowl that suddenly appeared from the sky and just as quickly disappeared under the accompanying mighty thunder or drum sounds.
Was it an extraterrestrial vehicle or a description of a meteorite that ended its life in the Earth's atmosphere?

Jak można wyczytać w 20. tomie Dziennika Gwanghaegun, w rozdziale Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, w sierpniu 1609 roku, nad Koreą pojawiła się armada UFO. Do obserwacji doszło w prowincji Gangwon. Według zeznań naocznych świadków, niezidentyfikowane obiekty latające wyglądały jak umywalki i towarzyszyły im pioruny, jasne światło oraz dym.
Wszystkie obiekty, poruszały się po koreańskim niebie na przestrzeni kilku dni i zostały opisane w bardzo podobny sposób. Oto jedna z pierwszych relacji:
„W Gangneungbu słońce było jasne i czyste o godzinie czwartej 25 sierpnia, ale nagle na niebie pojawił się obiekt, który wydawał cichy dźwięk. Jego kształt przypominał wielką tykwę, był spiczasty na górze i duży na dole, i wydawał się spadać na ziemię ze środka nieba na północ. Gdy spadał, kształt stopniowo się powiększał i wynosił około trzech lub czterech arkuszy (丈), jego kolor był czerwony. Biała energia pojawiała się w miejscach, przez które przechodził, a po chwili znikała. Gdy to zniknęło, rozległ się grzmot, który wstrząsnął niebem i ziemią”.
Podobne obiekty, obserwowano również w innych regionach kraju. Wszystkie zgodnie wspominały o obiekcie o kształcie dużej misy, który raptownie wyłaniał sie z nieba i równie szybko znikał przy towarzyszącym mu potężnym grzmocie lub odgłosach bębna. Czy był to pozaziemski pojazd czy opis meteorytu kończącego żywot w ziemskiej atmosferze?
