Initial data
A strange light in the sky was filmed by an eyewitness from the city of Hoofddorp (North Holland):
May 3, 2022, 2:44 In the sky, I saw a very large spot of purple/blue/ultraviolet color on the clouds moving from my position to the east. Light reflected from clouds (so light glare from satellites or the like does not seem possible to me because of the cloud cover).
He was visible to me for about 3 minutes, once behind the tree I didn't see him anymore.I didn't see a ray of light from the ground and the presence of an airport didn't seem logical to me in terms of size/color.
At first I thought my eyes were tired, but when the phone camera saw the same thing, I thought it was strange. Perhaps there is a logical explanation for this.
According to ufomeldpunt.nl this is a measuring train:

Hypotheses
Light sources on clouds
Lasers, searchlights, car headlights and other light sources of sufficient power can form a column of light in a dusty or foggy atmosphere, various patterns on low clouds, fog or haze. Also, the rays can highlight parts of the cloud, objects or birds, giving them bizarre shapes.
Searchlights can shine with one beam, several. They can be stationary, move, and also form spinning carousels on the clouds, which can change shape and color.
It often seems that the light source is located at the point where the beam hits the cloud, and not vice versa.

News: The cause of the mysterious purple light
In the Netherlands, witnesses from many cities talked about purple or blue glow that moves across the night sky. This purple light beam, which can be seen in the last night of Arnhem, Dirinon and Zutphen. This sounds mysteriously. 23-year-old sander of Brinkenberg of Welpa conducted an investigation and found the cause, removing on video a strange train.
Press Secretary of the railway company points out:
"It is a measuring train, and we use it to measure the thickness of a contact network".
