A guy who had a "strange" UFO experience this week went online in search of answers.
Explaining the strange incident on Reddit Ireland, he said that the incident near his home in Carlow on Monday (October 10) was one of the "strangest events I've had, without a doubt."
The unnamed man claimed that he heard a sound similar to the sound of a low-flying helicopter, and therefore went outside to see what it was.
Then something flew right over him, but "turned out to be invisible." He said he had no light, no shape, no outlines, according to the Irish Mirror.
He said:
"I'm here in Carlow and I hear something like a Coast Guard helicopter approaching from afar (here they usually carry out drilling operations and, unfortunately, from time to time they have to look for people).
Just thinking about it, I came out of the garage to see how any man is a child, especially since it sounded so low.
Keep in mind that it's not the darkest night since it's a full moon and no clouds. Whatever it is, the sound still sounds like a low-flying helicopter flew right over me, heading north. The weird part? Identify what appears to be invisible.
There were no lights at all. I don't eat a lot of carrots, lol, but seriously, I couldn't even see the vague shape or outline of anything. I have to share here [sic].
I hope people don't think I'm doing nonsense."
He kept asking for an explanation.
"Does anyone have an explanation? Has anyone else heard, let alone seen, this in the Carlow area? He came from the direction of Tinriland and headed for the Palatine," he wrote.
Since then, dozens of people have left comments, and some of them said they experienced the same thing.

A bloke who had a "strange" UFO experience this week has taken to the internet in search of answers.
Explaining the bizarre occurrence on Reddit Ireland, he said the incident outside his home in Carlow on Monday (October 10) was one of the “strangest experiences I've had, hands down”.
The unnamed man claimed he heard what sounded like a low-flying helicopter, and so went outside to see what it was.
Something then flew directly above him but "appeared invisibile". He said it had no lights, shape or outline, reports the Irish Mirror.
He said: "I'm in Carlow here and could hear something which sounded like one of those Coast Guard Helicopters approaching from the distance (they commonly drill here and unfortunately have to search for people from time to time).
"Thinking just that, I came out of the garage to have a look like any man-child would especially since it sounded so low.
"Bear in mind it's not the darkest of nights as it's a full moon and no clouds. Whatever it was, still sounding like a low flying helicopter came directly right over me in a linear fashion heading north. The strange part? I can't identify something that appears invisible.
"There were no lights, whatsoever. I don’t eat much carrots lol but seriously I couldn't even see the vague shape or outline of anything. It’s one of the strangest experiences I've had hands down, so much so I felt compelled to share on here [sic].
"I hope people don't think I'm bulls***ing."
He went on to beg for an explanation.
“Has anybody an explanation? Did anybody else hear let alone see that in the Carlow area? It came from Tinryland direction headed towards Palatine,” he wrote.
Dozens of people have since commented, with some saying they experienced the same thing.
"Someone else (about 15km outside carlow Town) told me the same thing happened about 10 days ago, at around 2am or so," they wrote, to which the original poster replied: “Interesting.”
Another person claimed: “Same thing happened to me like 10 years ago. Only difference was the power went out for a few minutes afterwards as well.”

“I'm not saying aliens... but it was aliens!” one person wrote.
Another said: “UFOs are generally reported as being silent or making a low level hum or buzzing like a swarm of bees.”
However others argued: "Its a million things before its aliens....”
