August 11, 1855. Petworth, Sussex. A glowing red disk "like a red moon" slowly rose, crossed the sky and disappeared in the distance. It had spokes like a wheel, and "fixed Rays" emanated from it. Visible 1/2 hour. Venus is approaching Earth again.

11. augustPetworth, Sussex. En glødende rød skive "som en rød Måne" steg langsomt op, gik over himlen og forsvandt i det fjerne. Den havde eger ligesom et hjul, og "stationære Stråler" udgik fra den. Synlig i 1/2 Time. Venus atter nær Jorden.
