August 29, 1871. France. Astronomer Trouvelet reported that he saw formations of very complex objects, some triangular, others round, and others polygonal. Some of them hung around for a while before slipping away. One, it seemed, got up from the wrong foot and crashed. When falling, he swayed from side to side, like a disk sinking in water, or like a flying disk that suddenly lost speed.

29. augustFrankrig. Astronomen Trouvelet meddelte at han havde set formationer af højst komplicerede genstande, nogle trekantede, andre runde, atter andre mange-kantede. Nogle af dem holdt sig svævende en stund, før de gled bort. En så ud til at komme galt af sted og styrte ned. I faldet svingede den fra side til side som en skive, der synker i vand, eller som en flyvende skive, der pludselig har mistet sin drivkraft.
