Girls from the 8th grade of school No. 32, Omsk (Minkova L., Prozvonkova I., Yushkevich O) write to the newspaper's editorial office:

On January 20, 1985 at 6 o'clock in the evening, when we were returning from a girlfriend, we noticed in the distance 2 glowing yellowish lights that were several times larger than a star. It seemed strange to us that they flew silently, slowly, and the lights shone alternately: one, then two at once. We stopped and looked at them for a long time.

After walking about 100 m, we looked back, but there was nothing.

Hypotheses

List of versions containing features matching the eyewitness descriptions or material evidence

Airplane / Helicopter

An aircraft heavier than air for flights in the atmosphere (and outer space (e.g. An orbital aircraft)), using the aerodynamic lift of a glider to keep itself in the air (when flying within the atmosphere) and the thrust of a power (propulsion) installation for maneuvering and compensating for the loss of total mechanical energy to drag.

A rotorcraft in which the lift and thrust required for flight are created by one or more main rotors powered by an engine or several engines. They differ in maneuverability, the ability to hover and almost vertical takeoff.
