Last year, on the night of July 27-28, I had to see an incomprehensible phenomenon, the impressions of which I decided to share with you in this letter.

That evening I was visiting my sister, who lives in the Birzhai district center of the Lithuanian SSR. We arrived late, already at sunset, my sister worked the 2nd shift and returned home by 24 o'clock. After dinner, when everyone went to bed, we decided to sit in the yard for another hour. The night was cloudless and moonless, there was no wind. The block where she lives is one-story private houses, it was already 1-30, so there was no usual city noise. We already thought that it was time for us to rest, but in the meantime, we were still talking about the same Estonian plane. In our republican press, the article was only in one newspaper, which my sister did not subscribe to, and she was interested in learning the details of the article. I asked if she had seen with her own eyes any incomprehensible objects or phenomena? At those words, she pointed over my shoulder: "Here someone is flying!" Turned around - really flying. From the southwest to the northeast, a light white star moves in a straight line in the sky, periodically fading. I thought it was a plane. We watched him for about 20 seconds until he disappeared behind the trees. But this behavior of the object was unusual, which was alarming. However, fatigue took over and solved all the issues for tomorrow.

The first thought that came to mind when I woke up - the nature of the lights in the cloud is not airplane. The aircraft has short flashes and is usually not white. here - 3-4 seconds. light for about 2 seconds. - darkness. It seemed to us that these changes are sharp (not like in the ISS).

Second. The angular velocity is several times greater than that of a passenger aircraft at an altitude of 9-10 km. But this speed seemed to me to be less than that of the once observed ISS.

The third. The speed of the object. My sister, who is 60 years old and already uses glasses, saw the object, without glasses, meanwhile, the yard was illuminated by an electric lamp of 150 watts and I, having a vision of 1, after the disappearance of the object with the lights on, could barely see the brightest stars. The object was seen many times brighter than they were.

Fourth. When we turned off the outdoor lighting, we were convinced that the sky was cloudless, starry, it was midnight, and the evening glow was already in the very north. Under such conditions, I have never had a chance to observe the ISS and it is unlikely that this is possible.

Fifth. As I said above, it was quiet around, no noise could be heard.

I still regret why we didn't turn off the outdoor lighting in those 20 seconds, thereby improving the conditions for observing the object. The suddenness, fatigue, short duration of observation of the object and, to some extent, psychological unpreparedness affected. For at least 6-7 of the last years, I have not been able to see any personally, and for my sister this was the first case at all. She has been living there for 30 years, often works 2 shifts and often goes to bed at this time, but so far, as she claims, she has not observed anything similar.
