Dear editorial board of "Anomaly"!
Hello. I am interested in unusual phenomena and collect information about UFOs. And your newspaper is an authoritative source of information for me.
Yesterday we (my wife, father-in-law, me and to some extent my little son Tolik) witnessed an interesting phenomenon. In the southwestern part of the sky, we saw from the window two pillars of light running parallel and spaced at some distance from each other. It was 8 p.m. local time. There is a slight cloud cover in the sky, -17 °C. It seems to me that such an effect could be achieved if from the ground (or from the sky?) very powerful searchlights were shining. But then the scattering of the light beam would be noticeable. I didn't notice that. The beams were in a parallel beam. The color is copper yellow. Next to the two main beams, another 2-3 much weaker ones could be seen. I noticed a flash of lightning in the gap between these beams. I didn't see the thunderstorm channel, there was only a flash. All this lasted for about 9 o'clock in the evening. Then the pillars of light gradually disappeared.
I filmed what was happening on a video camera. Unfortunately, it only has automatic sharpening, so I couldn't zoom in on the picture. But the rays can be distinguished. I also shot two frames with a Zenit camera on Kodak foam, but I'm not sure that anything will come of it, because the shutter speed was by hand and the shooting was not done from a tripod. The window served as a support. I have just started this film, so I will give it to the developer only after the new year. I'll make a sketch by hand, I'm not an important artist, but you will have some idea of what I saw.
