K.K. Kulikov's message to the Commission on the observation of an unusual phenomenon in the area of Arkhangelsk:

I was prompted to contact you by a published note in the newspaper "Trud" dated 05.01.85, where you ask me to report all the anomalous phenomena seen ... on August 22, while on the state border protection service, at 23-30 hours. I saw a bullet-shaped white "object" suddenly appear from the left bank of the Northern Dvina River, surrounded on all sides by a bright reddish color.

The "object" seemed to ascend in an ascending arc, but after reaching a mark equal to about 180 degrees, it abruptly changed its course by 90 degrees, to the left. After changing the course, the "object" moved at a slow speed for about 1-2 minutes, after which it abruptly turned into a "star", different from the rest only by movements clearly observed. After 4-5 minutes of flight, the "object" stopped abruptly and a bright beam of light hit from under it, as after a powerful searchlight. This light lasted about 30 seconds - 1 minute, after which it stopped. After that, the "body" was observed for about 1-2 minutes, and then disappeared as abruptly as it appeared. As it seemed to me, after this "object" there was some kind of glow in the form of the letter "W", which disappeared after 5 minutes. The "flight" took place without a single sound.

Here is such a phenomenon I had to observe. And more. A case like this was observed by my comrades in the service in the summer of 1984, in the fall of 1984 and in the spring of 1985. At the same time, the descriptions are very, very similar, the difference is only in the forms of the object. despite my request to give a detailed account of these events, they got off with a joke: "Yes, who needs it...". When I showed this note, I had to withstand a flurry of this note, I had to withstand a flurry of smiles, and then they said very seriously: if it's really necessary, then let them send you either a letter or something else so that we believe... Of course, this is stupid, but you can understand them, because someone is afraid of being counted among the "dreamers".
