One of the most notable cases occurred in May 1986, when Lieutenant General Octavio Julio Moreira Lima, who headed the Brazilian Air Force at the time, ordered five fighters to intercept 21 UFOs spotted by numerous eyewitnesses and recorded by radar. Despite all efforts, the glowing objects were never caught, leaving many puzzled and intrigued.
