I was going to the tram stop (tr. No. 3, ost. - "Dzerzhinsky). Next to her, I noticed a short, dry old woman who seemed familiar to me for some reason. In a kind of stupor, looking eye to eye, I began to get closer to her.

Suddenly everything was interrupted, and I saw that I simply could not "know" such a strange creature. Dry, somehow bony, in a "great-grandmother" dress, very wide for her, dirty, with grayish-green hair hanging in tow, with huge green eyes, she was just scary. Our gazes diverged, and we walked past each other.

But then she began to behave very strangely. She switched to the rails of an oncoming tram, sat on the rail and began to paint her lips.

At that time, a tram took off, and, as it seemed to me and five or six other people standing at the stop, literally walked through it. There was a cry, but at the same moment we saw that this woman continues to sit in the same place and paint her lips. Moreover, as if in response

at the cry, she turned her head to us, looked at us in bewilderment and turned her finger at her temple.

At that moment, a tram came up to us, and with our mouths open in bewilderment, we got into it.
